El alemán Pascal Ackermann (UAE Emirates) ganó al esprint la undécima etapa del Giro de Italia, entre Camaiore y Tortona, de 219 km, la más larga de la presente edición, marcada por las caídas y con el británico Geraint Thomas (Ineos) en condición de maglia rosa de líder.

Ackermann dio la primera victoria al UAE en una llegada que precisó de "foto finish" en Tortona en la que se impuso por delante del italiano Jonathan Milan (Bahrain) y del británico Mark Cavendish (Astana).

En una jornada con caídas en la que se vieron afectados Óscar Rodríguez (Movistar) y el británico Tao Geoghegan (Ineos), tercero en la general, ambos retirados, Geraint Thomas mantuvo la maglia rosa con 2 segundos sobre Primoz Roglic y 22 respecto al portugués Joao Almeida (UAE Emirates)

 

Este jueves se disputará la duodécima etapa, entre Bra y Rivoli, de 179 km.
