Ajax brushed aside Heerenveen 3-1 in the quarter final of the Dutch Cup at the Johan Cruyff Arena. Frenkie de Jong started the match and played the full 90 minutes, dominating the midfield battle and leading his side to an routine victory.

De Jong didn't make any errors in those 90 minutes. Erik ten Hag allowed the soon to be Barça man freedom to get forward or sit back depending on what he felt was necessary. A reference to his teammates and constantly offering himself as an outlet.

Frenkie de Jong is a footballer who suits Barça's style to perfection. He ran the show and didn't misplace a single pass over the entire contest. He helped move the ball from one side to the other, got up in attack, but mainly was there to make sure Ajax remained solid and stuck to their game plan.

It was yet another example of the talent this youngster will soon be bringing to the Camp Nou.
