Marc-Andre ter Stegen is one of the 16 Barca players who will be at the Qatar World Cup although his presence will have to wait.
He is in the squad but the Germany national team say he will not travel to Oman for the friendly there ahead of the tournament.
Ter Stegen has a stomach bug and so he won’t link up with his team-mates.
“He will stay in Frankfurt for now and will travel as soon as possible after his recovery. Get well soon Marc!” wrote the national team in a statement.
