The Real Federación Española de Fútbol, or the Spanish FA to make it easier, has proposed that the Spanish Super Cup takes place as a one-off match. The date has been agreed, and this is the 12th August, but what is still to be decided is the venue of the final.
This was decided at a meeting which took place between Luis Rubiales, the head of the Spanish FA, and representatives of the two finalists. Representing Barcelona was Oscar Grau and for Sevilla it was Pepe Castro.

The RFEF has asked that Barcelona and Sevilla respond to the proposal before midnight tonight. If the clubs accept the idea it will be the first time in history that the Spanish Super Cup will be a one-off match as opposed to the traditional two-leg format.
