Diego Costa struck for Spain to open the scoring in their friendly against Argentina. The Atletico Madrid hitman fired home after a good ball from Marco Asensio in the 12th minute of the friendly at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Costa suffered a collision with Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero while scoring the goal but although it looked bad at first, he was able to continue playing.

The former Chelsea forward had not netted for Spain since June 11, 2017 against Macedonia. It is his seventh goal in 18 matches for the national team.
