On Friday July 20, Vinicius Jr was presented as a new Real Madrid star. But although he is taking pre-season with the first team, Madrid have signed him up as a Juvenil A player in the Division of Honour.
Real Madrid announced Vinicius's signing two years ago but it was not made official until now to avoid misunderstandings with FIFA. After coming of age Madrid signed him up with the Madrid football federation.
Madrid will benefit in two ways from this. On one hand they keep a first team slot free, and on the other, they can use the player in three club categories.
