As SPORT exclusively revealed on Thursday, Cristiano Ronaldo’s private plane made a crash landing at El-Prat airport in Barcelona on Monday night. Fortunately there were no injuries.
Ronaldo’s Gulfstream G200, worth 19 million euros, encountered problems on the runway because of a hydraulic failure in the left brake. A charter crew was flying with another client, as when Ronaldo doesn’t need the plane, a private company rents it out to third parties.
As it was about to take off, the landing gear of the plane -- which the Portuguese international acquired around one year ago -- broke down due to hydraulic failure and forced airport authorities to close one of the runways of the airfield for a number of hours.
