Sevilla will honour Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu after Los Blancos won the Spanish Super Cup. The teams clash at 4pm CET on Saturday in La Liga. Former Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui will applaud those who used to be his players.

There is precedent between the two clubs. In 2006 Sevilla's Juande Ramos were received well by Madrid players like Raul, Iker Casillas and Zinedine Zidane after winning the UEFA Super Cup.

Villarreal gave Madrid a guard of honour last season after they had won the Club World Cup. Previously these gestures didn't really take place that much because the competition seemed to have lost relevance which - perhaps due to it being revamped - it seems to have recovered.
