Real Madrid's worst half time result in their Champions League history

They went in 3-0 down against Covid-19 hit Ukranian vistors Shakhtar

Real Madrid went in at the break licking their wounds. On their Champions League debut, they went in 3-0 down at the Alfredo di Stefano. Tete, Varane (og) and Solomon were the scorers.

Shakhtar, despite missing 13 players with Covid-19, ran amok. In fact, the last time Madrid went in 3-0 down was against Zaragoza in December 1999. They cut the score back to 3-2 after the break, but this was a despicable Madrid showing.

Madrid have never gone in down by this scoreline in the Champions League era.

Zidane made changes from the Cadiz defeat and now he must make more ahead of the Clasico, it seems.
