Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo will be appear in court on July 31 after being accused of tax fraud. He's due to appear at 11.00 hours at a Madrid court, according to El Confidencial.
Ronaldo is accused of four crimes against the tax office between 2011 and 2014 totalling 14.7 million euros in unpaid taxes on image rights.
It's claimed the Portugal international “created a screen in the Virgin Islands in order to hide his total income” from the Spanish authorities.
The player's agency Gestifute, Real Madrid, Madrid president Florentino Perez and the player himself have all said that the 32-year-old is innocent.
