Real Madrid eased to a 4-0 win over Alaves on Saturday, strengthening their hold on third position having moved back above Real Madrid in midweek.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice, with Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema also on target as the BBC all scored in the same for the first time this season.

The first half was actually quite even until Ronaldo opened the scoring in the first half after a brilliant assist from Benzema.

Bale then doubled the home side’s lead, scoring less than 30 second after the restart.

Lucas Vazquez’s impressive form continued as he set up Ronaldo for his second of the afternoon before Benzema rounded off the scoring from the penalty spot.

The penalty was won by Bale and Ronaldo handed the ball to Benzema, whose performance had merited a goal.
