Real Madrid's failure in the Champions League this week saw them knocked out of three competitions in a week after Barcelona kicked them out of the Copa del Rey and all but eliminated them from the La Liga title race. That was not the only negative point for Madrid, though.
After the 4-1 loss to Ajax at the Santiago Bernabeu, Florentino Perez went down to the dressing room to criticise the players. Sergio Ramos fought back in defence of his teammates, though, telling the Madrid president that "the planning has been an embarrassment."
According to "El Chiringuito", after the storm, the calm has arrived and both Ramos and Perez are keen to overcome the clash. First contact took place on Thursday afternoon and even though it was not an intense conversation it served to begin the peace process.
It all began with a message from Ramos to Perez and the president quickly called the Madrid captain. During the call, they spoke briefly and agreed to have a meeting soon to solve everything.
