An opening offer of €160 million has already been turned down

Real Madrid's €160 million bid for French forward Kylian Mbappé was turned down immediately by PSG, with the French club insisting that "he's not for sale". They have been saying the same thing for months. The club plan to continue trying to get him to commit to a new deal, but his reluctance to enter into negotiations for a new contract - with 1 year left on his current deal - is increasing the chances of a transfer this summer.

PSG have been building their own 'Dream Team' this summer with a flurry of impressive signings. With their squad almost set, Mbappé, one of the most important pillars of the sporting project, does not appear to be interested in it.

Madrid are monitoring the player's situation closely, confident that a deal can be done. According to L'Equipe, however, it would take a bid of at least €200 for PSG to consider selling the player this window.

Mbappé only has one year left on his current deal, and will be free to negotiate with non-French clubs from 1 January.
