Osasuna 1-4 Real Madrid: Ramos lucky as Isco shines

Isco, Sergio Ramos, Lucas Vázquez and Jovic helped Madrid turn it around after Unai's goal

Sergio Ramos got lucky again but Real Madrid earned a hard-fought win at El Sadar to go six points clear above Barcelona for now.

Unai Garcia sent Osasuna ahead with a header, poorly defended by Madrid, but the visitors soon found their footing.

Ramos found his footing - his studs into Ruben Garcia’s Achilles but somehow the defender was not punished, even by VAR after the referee missed it.

Off the hook, Isco levelled by drilling home a neat volley after Gareth Bale forced the ball his way, accidentally perhaps.

Osasuna fans were left raging when Ramos headed in after Casemiro headed a corner his way.

Lucas Vazquez and Luka Jovic struck in the final stages to seal a big win.

“In the end it was a very, very difficult game at a place it’s really hard to play at, they made it hard for us today but we did it,” said Zidane.

“We defended well and we controlled it well, we’re in a good moment and the players made chances to score, we got four at a difficult ground to take the three points.”
