Without the BBC, without Sergio Ramos, Zinedine Zidane went for Plan B in the Copa del Rey and nearly paid a price for it. Marco Asensio's 88th minute goal earned his team a 1-0 win at Butarque ahead of the Copa del Rey quarter final second leg next week.
However, despite the win, Madrid played terribly. Leganes held their own and only Asensio's clever flick, into the top corner from Theo Hernandez's low cross, gave Zidane's side the win.
A tight game improved after the break and Leganes nearly went ahead when Marcos Llorente headed against his own crossbar, before Kiko Casilla made a fine save from Beauvue's volley.
