Real Madrid have agreed a deal with Zinedine Zidane to extend his contract for three seasons, according to As. The Frenchman has been in charge of Real Madrid for a season and a half. He was previously a youth team coach and assistant to Carlo Ancelloti during the Italian's time in charge at the Madrid club.
Madrid are now waiting for the right time to announce the news because according to sources close to the Madid club "it was official the moment Zidane approved the new contract". The source also says that Zidane is particularly pleased that he is about to sign a three year deal and "appreciates the confidence the president has placed in him".
The new contract will double his salary from €4.35 million to almost €8 million per year, and includes a series of performance bonuses that are double what the players receive.
