Real Madrid can breathe easy with regard to Danilo. The imminent sale of the player to Manchester City will recuperate most of the €39 million the Madrid club spent signing him from Porto. Reports from England suggest that Manchester City will pay €30-35 million for the player.
Although the Madrid club only paid €31.5 million to Porto, they had to pay another €8 million in commissions to agents and intermediaries and other costs for a player they could have signed for free a year later.
Nevertheless, his performances were not at the level expected and the fans showed their unhappiness with the player on several occasions. But now they can expect to recuperate most of their money because Pep Guardiola wants two top quality right backs for next season – they have already paid €57 million for Kyle Walker.
