Bayer Leverkusen have rejected a bid worth 80 million euros from Real Madrid for forward Kai Havertz, according to a report in German newspaper Bild.
Madrid have positioned themselves in the race for the highly-rated youngster, who has lit up the Bundesliga this year with his performances and goals.
Havertz has scored five goals in four games since the German league returned in May and is being monitored by a host of Europe's biggest clubs.
