Real Madrid will be forced to sell Bale and James Rodríguez on the cheap

After bringing Odegaard and Ceballos back, Madrid will be forced to move on some of their high earners

Real Madrid's decision to bring back Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos from their loan deals means that there's going to be an overhaul of the current first-team squad. Zinedine Zidane has made it clear he doesn't want to use either Gareth Bale or James Rodriguez next season.

Shifting Bale and James on is going to be difficult as both are on huge wages and any interested party won't be able to afford a high transfer fee as well as offering a similar salary. Madrid know this and have placed a €17m price tag on Bale's head and €8.5m on James.

This sounds like the ideal scenario for clubs who would ordinarily be unable to afford the previous asking prices. The main question will be if those clubs can convince either to move from Madrid.

Mariano Diaz and Brahim are two other players who are available for the right price. In the case of Brahim, they'd rather loan him out next season.
