Vincent Kompany’s megabanger of a strike leaves Manchester City one win away from Premier League victory.

They lead Liverpool by a point going into the final round of games, with City at Brighton and Liverpool hosting Wolves.

Pep Guardiola’s team struggled against a lively Leicester, with Sergio Aguero twice denied, once by the woodwork and then by Kasper Schmeichel.

City, looking to become the first club to secure back-to-back Premier League titles since rivals Manchester United in 2007-08 and 2008-09, could not find a way through.

That was until captain Kompany sent a long range effort into the top corner, with one of the goals of the season and the best of his career.

From 30 yards out, with 20 minutes to go, the Belgian put City on the cusp of Premier League glory again.
