Chelsea have been trapped in a maze since winning at the Metropolitano, suffering league defeat as against City and Palace, but they came out of it by beating Watford 4-2 on Saturday.

They won, but they did not convince. Antonio Conte's side were not impressive against Watford despite the final scoreline. Pedro scored a brilliant opener in the 11th minute and served up the ball for Michy Batshuayi to nod home in the 71st to equalise, after goals from Doucoure and Peyera turned the game on its head.

Richarlison missed twice when he could have extended the lead and Batshuayi came on to punish the Hornets. Back level, Willian whipped the ball in for Cesar Azpilicueta to nod home and then Batshuayi notched again as the Blues ran out what looked easy winners, but was really anything but.
