When Barça play like Barça they're unstoppable. The problem is that Barça, this season, have now played like Barça enough. On Wednesday, against Sevilla, they did. They produced an exceptional first half. If Barça play like Barça, they're capable of everything. Even the treble.
They absolutely doinated the game with pressure, speed and effectivenes. Barça did everything well, with a stellar performance from the trident. Neymar is in exceptional form. Luis Suarez is scoring goals in all kind of ways (here with an overhead kick) and Messi, after two weeks without a game, put on another exhibition. When the MSN shine, Barça shine. And take teams apart.
ENJOYING THEMSELVES
The Blaugrana reached half time 3-0 up and the game was up. But they didn't settle. They wanted more. Thet wanted to continue enjoying themselves. They wanted to continue being happy playing football. And to make all Barça fans happy. And, even, I would say any fan of sporting beauty happy. And they continued to play the same style of football, although they did take their foot off the accelerator a little.
No more goals arrived. But not for lack of effort. The job was done. And well done. Luis Enrique was even able to take Luis Suarez and Pique off, reserving them for the challenges to come.
