Cristiano Ronaldo, the worst goalscorer in Europe

Cristiano Ronaldo is, at this time, the worst goalscorer in Europe. I'm not saying that. The statistics are. Let's corroborate them with a media who have strong Madridista bias like AS. The Portuguese had scored one goal from his 48 shots in La Liga. That's 2.08 per cent. His lack of efficiency puts him 710th in Europe.

It's nothing strange that with these numbers, Cristiano is becoming unhinged. On the pitch he's losing his nerve, he didn't celebrate the goals scored by his team-mate. It seems The Best has become The Worst. And there are still people who thinks he deserves a fifth Ballon d'Or to equal Messi?

The decay of Cristiano is reflected in his goalscoring statistics. Without goals, unlike Messi, Ronaldo is nothing. The problem for Madrid is that Benzema and Bale have disappeared too. And the BBC, that famous trident, is already in the history books rather than a current thing.

The forwards have scored 4 goals between them in La Liga. A third of what Messi has achieved. Or two less than bottom side Malaga. Their alarming form is one of the reasons Madrid are eight points behind Barcelona.

 

The problem for Madrid is that Cristiano Ronaldo has a contract until 2021. Three and a half seasons more in white. If his performance continues to decline like this his situation will be unsustainable. It's not strange, then, that Florentino Perez is already wondering if he can be transferred...
