Second game, second win for Mexico. Osorio's team lived up to expectations and saw of a South Korea team without the need to be at their best.

A penalty from Vela and a second goal from Chicharito put them into a two-goal lead with Son scoring a late consolation for South Korea. Mexico now have six points, while the Asian side have none.

After beating Germany in their opening game, Mexico's fans expected more heroics. They struggled to create chances early on, although Chicharito came close with a header.

South Korea responded but excellent defensive work from 'Chucky' Lozano prevented Lee Yong opening the scoring.

More chances came for South Korea, but Son saw two shots blocked before the Mexicans began to get on the front foot once again.

Guardado's cross was handled by Jang and former Real Sociedad striker Vela converted the spot kick.

Layun nearly doubled Mexico's lead, drawing a save from Jo, before Lozano and Son traded shots.

Mexico did double their lead in the second hald, though. Guardado and Lozano had already has chances when the latter set up West Ham's Chicharito.

The Koreans tried to react but when they did eventually get on the scoresheet it was too late, Son's goal arriving in the 92nd minute.
