Georginio Wijnaldum could become FC Barcelona's latest signing. Negotiations are at an advanced stage, the midfielder has already agreed personal terms with Barça, and there's just minor details to be worked out with Liverpool. Ronald Koeman is a huge fan of the player.
With Thiago Alcantara set to join Liverpool, it reduces Wijnaldum's options to play on a regular basis. He'd already turned down the chance to sign a new contract and is keen to start a fresh challenge.
Barça are hoping to pay around €15m plus variables, although the final figure might surpass €20m.
Wijnaldum adds a lot of energy to the midfield and is capable of playing anywhere across the middle of the park, as well as on the wing.
