Atletico Madrid CEO, Miguel Ángel Gil Marín, has travelled to Paris as he looks to wrap up a deal for Edinson Cavani this month.
PSG have already stated that they want the Uruguayan forward to remain at the club until the end of the season and are reluctant to let him join a Champions League rival.
The French team's director of football, Leonardo, isn't interested in doing a deal this month. However, Gil Marin believes he could convince PSG to cash in now rather than lose Cavani for free in six months time.
Gil Marin hopes to meet with PSG's president, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, to see if a deal can be struck. The player himself is said to be open to the move.
Jose Mourinho's Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the striker but they were met with the same response: he isn't for sale this month.
