Angel Maria Villar, head of the RFEF, and his son Gorka have been arrested as part of a corruption probe at the Spanish football federation’s headquarters.
Three other federation executives have been arrested in Operation Soule, Juan Padron, vice-president of economic affairs, and Tenerife’s regional federation president and secretary.
The five men have been arrested on charges of misappropriation of funds, improper management, corruption and falsifying documents.
