Levante had two players sent off but beat Las Palmas 2-1 with a 91st minute goal from Jose Campana to earn a vital win at the bottom of the table.
Their victory gives the Valencian side, 17th an eight-point lead on 18th place Deportivo La Coruna with seven games to go.
Las Palmas, 19th, are more or less consigned to relegation, now 10 points from their victorious opponents today.
Coke sent Levante ahead in the 35th minute but David Garcia equalised in the 50th.
Coke was dismissed for two yellow cards with four minutes to go, before Jose Luis Morales set up Jose Campana in the first minute of stoppage time.
