Koke: Messi is the world's best but can't make that much of a difference

Koke says that Lionel Messi is the best player in the world but one man "can't make that much of a difference" in a team game.

The Atletico Madrid midfielder spoke ahead of his team's clash with Barcelona on Sunday, a game in which the Catalan side can win the league with a victory.

"We all know what kind of player Messi is – he’s the best in the world but this weekend it will be 11 versus 11 and all of Barça’s players are very, very good," said Koke.

"One player can’t make that much of a difference – it’s all about the team.

"We hope that Barcelona don’t win the league at our ground. We want to finish in third and we’re not a side which does favours; we’ll be going out to win, as we always do."
