On Monday, Granada suffer an away defeat to Celta Vigo at the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos. Celta were looking to pick up points after winning last match. Granada had lost their previous match against Real Sociedad. As it stands, Celta and Granada sit 13th and 18th places with 7 points and 3 points respectively.

After an un-eventful first half, Celta applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Denis Suarez just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For Celta, Denis Suarez, Franco Cervi, Thiago Galhardo, Okay Yokuslu and Augusto Solari, came on for Fran Beltran, Nolito, Brais Mendez, Nestor Araujo and Renato Tapia. Granada replaced Maxime Gonalons, Carlos Bacca, Domingos Duarte, Luis Maximiano and Antonio Puertas for Angel Montoro, Jorge Molina, Victor Diaz, Aaron Escandell and Sergio Escudero.

There were bookings for Brais Mendez and Iago Aspas from Celta, and Antonio Puertas, Domingos Duarte, Angel Montoro, Aaron Escandell, Quini and Carlos Neva, for Granada.

 

Celta will play their next game away against Elche, while Granada will face Seville at home.
