Cádiz strolled past Valencia with a 2-1 win on Sunday at Estadio Ramon de Carranza. Cádiz were looking to get back winning ways, following a previous defeat to Villarreal. Valencia, on the other hand, had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 2-1 victory against Granada. Cádiz continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Marcos Mauro just before the final whistle and seeing the game end 2-1.
For Cádiz, Marcos Mauro, Ivan Alejo, Filip Malbasic and Jorge Pombo, came on for Juan Cala, Alberto Perea, Alvaro Negredo and Jairo Izquierdo. Valencia brought on Hugo Guillamon, Manu Vallejo, Denis Cheryshev, Patrick Cutrone and Yunus Musah, to replace Mouctar Diakhaby, Daniel Wass, Alex Blanco, Kevin Gameiro and Thierry Correia.
There were bookings for Salvi Sanchez and Juan Cala from Cádiz. For Valencia, Mouctar Diakhaby and Gabriel Paulista saw yellow.
