Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin suffered a muscle injury against Athletic Club, it's been confirmed, and is almost definitely ruled out of his side's next game against Barcelona, at the Wanda Metropolitano on Nov. 24.
The Rojiblanco said in a statement: "Diego Godin underwent an MRI scan at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra on Monday morning. The results revealed that the Uruguayan defender suffered an injury to the muscle-tendon junction in the semitendinosus muscle of his left thigh. Our captain is pending evolution."

Godin had already said after the game that he expected to be out for three or four weeks. In theory, he will miss the Barça game. Diego Simeone, the Atletico coach, could also be without injured defenders Giménez, Savic and Lucas Hernández as problems mount at the back.
