Athletic Club's players have shaved their heads as a gesture of support for teammate Yeray Álvarez, who is receiving chemotherapy treatment for testicular cancer.
The Rojiblancos posted a photograph on their official Twitter account in which you can see the 27 players who have started pre-season under the orders of Cuco Ziganda next to Yeray himself.
"We are with you, @yerayalvarez4! #EutsiYeray," says the message which accompanies the image taken after the morning training session at Lezama on Friday.
Yeray was first diagnosed with testicular cancer in December 2016. He was operated on and within a few weeks he returned to action for Athletic.
In June, however, an anomaly was detected in one of the the defender's check ups and he had to leave the Spanish Under-21 squad that was preparing for the European Championships in Poland.
