Atletico Madrid's new summer signing, Joao Felix, was forced to abandon his first match for the team after less than 30 minutes. The Portuguese international started the match against Numancia and showed glimpses of his quality against lower league opposition. However, his evening was cut short when he came off after 27 minutes.
Felix took a heavy knock to his hip and although he tried to carry on, he had to signal to the Atletico bench that he wouldn't be able to continue. There's no reason to take any risks so early into the summer so Simeone replaced him with Angel Correa.
