RFEF president Luis Rubiales and FPF president Fernando Gomes, ratified their agreement to bid for the 2030 World Cup together today in Lisbon. Spain and Portugal will be a contender to host the tournament.
"This agreement is an important step forward for the project of the federations, but also for the countries," said Rubiales. "Football, the sport, is a wonderful tool to inject strength and will to overcome in these moments of great difficulty.
"Few things generate more hope than the chance to organise a World Cup and we can't think of a better partner than Portugal. We go hand in hand with the Portuguese federation."
