Lionel Messi is the only Barcelona player in FIFA's The Best XI. 55 names were chosen on the short-list and picked from by 25,000 votes from players from 65 different counties - for a goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards, for their performances between July 3, 2017 and July 15, 2018.
The XI sees Manchester United's David De Gea in goal, with a defence formed by Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo and Dani Alves. Three Madrid players and one from PSG.
In the middle of the pitch is Luka Modric, from Madrid, with N'Golo Kante and Eden Hazard of Chelsea.
