Atletico Madrid are enduring a tough moment following confirmation of Lucas Hernandez's departure to Bayern Munich and Antoine Griezmann's rumoured switch to FC Barcelona. Former player, Paulo Futre, has given his thoughts on the topics to 'El Larguero' on Cadena SER.

On Hernandez's move to the German giants, he said this: "I saw Lucas as the Sergio Ramos of Atletico Madrid, the face of the future, our leader. If the economic difference was huge, I understand. If not, I don't."

As for Griezmann's future, which appears to be a topic for another summer, he was more optimistic. "Griezmann has felt great disappointment this year. If you ask him in this moment if he's thinking about a move, I'm sure he'd say he was. Let's see if in a month or so he keeps thinking the same." However he added this: "I'm worried that he could go. We're talking about one of the best players in the world. It'd be extremely tough to take if he left, a lot worse than Lucas' (departure)."
