Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana suggested months back his time with the Dutch club was coming to an end. At least that is what could be deduced from the comments he made at the time.
This time, in an interview with 'Algemeen Dagblad', he has been explicit about his future: "I am happy at Ajax and grateful to the club. I have had five fantastic years here.
"But I have I think I have to take a step forward. I don't know what will happen, but I have lofty ambitions."
The Cameroon goalkeeper has been on Barcelona's orbit. He came through at La Masia before moving to Ajax, where there was a plan in place for him to progress to the first team.
