Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano injured his knee as well as his head against Alaves in the Copa del Rey final.
The Argentine was taken off on a stretcher after an 11th minute clash of heads with Marcos Llorente.
Barça have since confirmed: “Mascherano has suffered a cut to his head which needed stitches, concussion and an injury to his right knee which will require further tests.”
Mascherano had previously missed the final two games of the season with a thigh muscle problem.
However, he returned to start the cup final at right-back, only to suffer more bad luck with the game barely underway.
