Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong is targetting three points on Wednesday when he takes part in his first-ever Clasico against Real Madrid at Camp Nou.
De Jong, a 70 million euros summer signing, was part of the Ajax side which knocked Madrid out of the Champions League last season but this will be his first meeting with Los Blancos as a Barca player.
"Last year's match with Ajax was very special, but now it's another game and I'm on another team, so it will be different," he told Barcelona's official website.
"I’m really excited as it will be my first Clásico and I hope we win. I’ve followed all the others on television and the one I enjoyed the most was the 5-0 at the Camp Nou.
"It's the same on the day -- playing against Real Madrid is always special. Also, my family will come to see me, and they’ll surely experience a spectacular atmosphere.”
Barca and Madrid are both tied at the top of La Liga, with the Catalans ahead courtesy of their superior goal difference, and De Jong is anticipating a tough game.
"Two of the best teams in the world will come together on the pitch," he added. "We will try to dominate the game, as we always do. I don't know how they will approach it, but we will do things the same way as any other game: having possession, creating many chances and providing enjoyment for the Barça fans.
