Neymar equalled one of Messi's Champions League records last night

The Brazilian was one of PSG's best players against Atalanta despite not getting on the scoresheet himself

Sport EN

Neymar didn't get on the scoresheet for PSG last night but he was one of their best players. The Brazilian was a constant thorn in Atalanta's side and, whilst the goals came late, PSG won't care as they beat the Serie A side 2-1.

Neymar was always looking to get on the ball and create chances for his teammates. Against Atalanta, he actually equalled one of Lionel Messi's records in the competition. Neymar completed 16 successful dribbles against the Italian side, matching the total Messi managed against Manchester United in April 2008.

It'll come as no surprise that Neymar was voted man of the match against Atalanta despite not having much luck in front of goal himself. He did lead the team in Mbappe's absence for the first hour. According to Opta, Neymar becomes the first player in 12 years to equal Messi's feat. Who would bet against him eventually claiming the record for his own?
