Leo Messi needed a brace to reach 100 Champions League goals, something he had managed in Europe's top competition 20 times before -- 27 if counting hat-tricks (5), pokers (1) and five-goal hauls (1).

It doesn't seem to matter who Messi plays against. Because Messi achieved it with another show of dominance on the European stage, scoring twice as Barça beat Chelsea to reach the Champions League last eight.

His first goal arrived in the third minute when he picked up a Suarez pass and nutmegged Courtois. Before scoring his second goal, he then set up Ousmane Dembele's goal after taking advantage of a Fabregas error.

In the second half, Messi scored his second goal, his 100th in the competition. More good work from Suarez created the chance and the Argentine lashed home under Courtois once again.
