Fernando Llorente poised to sign for Napoli

The situation also depends on what happens to Mauro Icardi

Ramón Fuentes

Fernando Llorente is poised to sign for Carlo Ancelotti's Napoli before the transfer window closes on Monday.

However Mauro Icardi, for now, is proving a stopping point in the deal. The Neapolitan side are waiting to see if Icardi finally agrees to leave Inter to join them for 65 million euros. The Argentine doesn't want to go, even though Antonio Conte has no use for him.

That situation has frozen the Llorente deal, with the former Spurs hitman agreeing a deal with Napoli but it will only go through if Icardi doesn't sign.

Should Icardi leave for Napoli, Llorente would then sign for Inter as a reserve, even though they have added Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.
