Yerry Mina has signed for Everton. The Colombian defender has decided to leave Barcelona after being told he would not have minutes there this season after the arrival of Clement Lenglet.

The deal has been sealed for 30 million euros plus two million in variables. Mina, who wanted to play at a big club, eventually chose the Toffees despite offers on the table from Manchester United and Everton. His fine World Cup performances raised his profile and reputation after a shaky half season at Barcelona.

In recent hours after coming back from holiday, Mina has been paying more attention to his future than training at Barcelona’s Ciudad Deportivo. A situation which has now ended, with his move to Everton.
