Valverde: Munir? The club and the player have made their decisions

Munir's been frozen out after refusing to sign a renewal

FC Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde was expressive and convincing when talking about Munir El Haddadi's future at the club on Wednesday, ahead of Thursday's Copa del Rey game against Levante.

"The club and the player have both made their decisions," said Valverde, before adding that "I don't talk about agents as a rule. I speak with my players but those conversations will remain private."

Valverde, on the forward's situation, added that "it seems [Munir] has taken a decision and the club have made theirs [to not include him in any squad]. What we want is a solution as soon as possible. If that's in the current window, even better."

The coach added: "I have nothing against Munir, he's a player in the squad, he has always trained and played well... I do not have much more to add."

Munir is out of contract in the summer and has chosen not to renew, which is why the club have decided to freeze him out.
