Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde was cagey when asked about the chances of signing Antoine Griezmann in January. The coach didn't want to go into details but did leave the door open to making signings.
Asked about Atletico Madrid's French forward, Valverde responded: "Griezmann is a great player. He is one of the names being talked about but for now I have the players that I have. In the future, we will see."
Valverde didn't want to give any clues and said that he had no idea what was being said about the club's interest in players -- "sometimes they get it right and out comes the legendary 'I told you so.'"
The coach, however, did say he's open to signings in January: "The club is always open to any possibility, us and all clubs. We are happy with what we have, but we aren't going to close the doors to anything."
