Javier Mascherano said goodbye to Barcelona in an event at the Auditori 1899 at Camp Nou on Wednesday.
The defender will leave for his new side, Chinese Super League team Hebei Fortune, on Jan. 26.
Barça have not confirmed the cost of the information but it will see the Catalan club pocket almost 10 million euros.
Mascherano -- who had a contract with Barcelona until 2019 and a buyout clause of 100 million euros after renewing his terms in October 2016 -- will discount part of his salary to contribute to the 10 million total.
