Samuel Umtiti is one of the Barcelona first-team players who the club want to sell to make money to spend in the next window. The coronavirus crisis, however, has lowered the prices of top stars and Umtiti is no exception. Barca are aiming to bring in 130m euros this summer and the defender is a key part of that plan.
They signed him in 2016 for 25 million and he renewed his deal in 2018, tripling his salary and adding a release clause of 500m euros. Premier League teams Arsenal and Chelsea have been interested in the player, while Italian journalist Nicolo Schira says Barcelona have put a 50m euro price tag on the 2018 world champion. Realistically it could be between 30-40 million.
