FC Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has spoken to the club's official media channels about his new contract at Camp Nou.
"Staying at Barça was the best for me and my family," said Ter Stegen. "Here everyone has made it easy for us to settle into a country and a culture where we feel at home.
"The football we play here is that one I want to play and for that reason we are very happy about the contract extension."
Ter Stegen returned from injury last week to a new-look Barca side under Ronald Koeman and he also spoke about the changes the club is undergoing.
He continued: "We always want to win but we have to be aware that many things have changed and we have to be patient with the team until everyone finds their place."
And finally, he spoke about the pandemic: "We have to take notice of the restrictions in each country. We want fans in the stadium but the most important thing is our health and we want the situation to get better so we can all live like we did before."
