Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has spoken for the first time about the possible signing of Leon Goretzka, the Schalke 04 midfielder who has been linked with the Catalan club via various media.
Ter Stegen, who is with the Barça team ahead of Tuesday's Champions League game against Olympiakos, gave an interview to WAZ and spoke about many things.
On Goretzka, he said: "Leon is a fantastic player. I like him as a footballer and as a person. He has his head screwed on and some excellent footballing qualities. He could play for a big team in Europe."
Asked if that team could be Baça, he laughed and added: "What I've seen with the national team has been good. And I am sure he will improve in the future. I don't know where he will end up, maybe he stays at Schalke, but he would be a good signing."
